2Cut cod or haddock into 4 equal pieces about the size of the buns.cod or haddock: 2 lbs

3Season generously with salt and let sit for ⏱️ 10 minutes at room temperature.salt

5Whisk in egg and beer .egg: 1, beer: 12 oz can

6Whisk until fully combined.

7Fill a pot with oil to fill ¾ of the pot.oil

8Heat over medium heat until it reaches 365F.

9Fully coat fish with flour followed by the batter.

10Place into frying oil for ⏱️ 3-5 minutes .

11Drain fish on a wire rack in a lined baking sheet.

12Repeat with the remaining fish.
